Just like any other corporations, Avia Tech also faced hardships towards their success. Around 2018, the corporation was discouraged because EASA was not properly recognized here in the country since we already have a CAAP. In the minds of the incorporators, EASA is a must in the country, due to the maintenance and manpower of the airbuses. The corporation felt unrecognized and unworthy of Filipino’s attention.
However, Avia Tech still stands firmly and thought of a solution for the obstacle that hinders them for their glory. Another program was launched and it focused on Sheet Metal Technician Training Program that is in demand in the aviation industry in terms of maintenance and manpower. It filled the gap of what needs to be done in the corporation. Since it needs to be accredited, Avia Tech
applied for a CAAP license. Upon finding that the organization complies with the requirements of the Philippine Civil Aviation Regulations, and Implementing Standards Part 3 relating to the establishment of an Aviation Training Organization (ATO), their licence certificate was approved as an Aircraft Maintenance Training Center signed by Capt. Jim C. Sydiongco, Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, last June 11, 2018.
The CAAP license was audited last June 26 in the same year, together with Capt. Nicomeh H. Versoza Jr., the Officer in Charge, TOCID of CAAP, Jeirome C. Abalos, the Airworthiness Inspector of CAAP, Marla P. Martinez, the Accountable Manager of Avia Tech, and Jaime L. Abella, the Safety Manager and Training Director.
